Ahead of the Ekiti 2018 governorship election, over 20 aspirants have already declared their interest in both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC), to succeed Governor Ayo Fayose. At present the battle for the governorship seat has stated pitching godfathers against godsons and friends turning foes.
Politricks gathered recently from reliable source that one of the APC aspirants is presently not comfortable with the speculation that the Minister of Mines and Steel Development and former Governor Kayode Fayemi may throw his hat into the ring for the governorship contest.
In fact, investigation by Politricks revealed that despite a lot of overtures being made to the APC aspirant to step down and support Fayemi’s return to the Government House, he insisted that he is going to run against the ex-governor; who he contributed immensely and sacrificed a lot for to ensure that Fayemi governed the Fountain of Knowledge state during his first term in office.
