Students tasked to be of good conduct, behaviour

A call has gone to matriculating students of Divine Blessing Bible College and Seminary (DBBCS), AIT Road, Agbado, Lagos, to be guided by and key in to the core value of the college by rededicating their energy to the work of God. This was as the students were advised to be disciplined, reflect and be committed to their studies and work of God, as well as to be the light for others to emulate.

The call was made during the matriculation of the Interdenominational Bible College, established in 2015 by Cherubim & Seraphim Church Worldwide, Divine Blessing Cathedral by the Patron of the college, Mr. Remi Awode, who was represented by the Registrar, Pastor Abiodun Babalola.

Babalola, while administering the matriculation oath on the students, challenged them on the need to be good ambassadors of God and the college in deeds and character, as well as to allow the word of God to guide them always. No fewer than 95 students undertook the matriculation oath of the college at the ceremony, who pledged to show exemplary conduct and live a Christ-like life that will further elevate the college and the glory of God. According to the Dean of Academics, Pastor Samuel Ayobami, the students were admitted into the college, which offers theological and seminary education at certificate, diploma and degree levels.

Giving the breakdown, he said 14 students were admitted into certificate programme, while 41 and 40 students respectively were admitted into diploma and B.TH degree levels. Ayobami, who congratulated the students on their admission into the college, said the college was sowing the seed of preparing men and women for future harvest in Christian ministry.

“I am persuaded that these men and women who are being matriculated today, have been empowered by God, who commended light to shine over darkness, to go as light bearers to repel and expel the darkness that is enveloping the world. I want to urge you not to pitch tent with corrupt people as Lot did in Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 13:19),” he charged the students.

The mission of the college, according to him, is to advance, transmit and sustain high quality of Theological and Biblical knowledge and understanding through teaching the whole counsel of God, academic research, moral, spiritual development and scholarship at the highest standard for the benefits of the universal Church and humanity
