A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr Timothy Felder Olatunji yesterday blamed desperate politicians for parallel congresses of the party in different parts of the country.
Olatunji, a senatorial aspirant of the party in Ondo South senatorial district said report of the incidents in different parts of the country did not reflect true position of things in the state.
According to him, the APC did not have crisis as being portrayed by the aggrieved members of the party. He, however, urged party members to be united and prepare for the forthcoming state congress.
He said: “In the last two weeks, the unsuspecting public has been inundated with reports of parallel congresses in Ondo State.
Such reports are intentionally warped in a manner to give the wrong impression that the party in the state under the table leadership of the governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu “To say the least, such reports are unfounded and are being peddled by desperate detractors to distract both the governor and the state chairman in their bid to create needless turbulence for reasons only known to them.
