The Vice-Chancellor of Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State, Prof. Debo Adeyewa, yesterday gave the total number of the institution’s students that would graduate at the 10th convocation ceremony of the institution as 422 out of which 27 bagged first class degree grade.
The Vice-Chancellor who disclosed this at a pre-convocation press conference held at the institution, also hinted that the University would on Thursday float a Radio House to reinvigorate the missions and vision of the university.
He said the radio station (the first university radio station in Osun) would be a campus radio, managed by the university’s mass communication students and that it would also serve it’s immediate community of Ede.
On the graduating students, he said 160 graduands would be bagging second class honours while the remaining 178 graduands would be bagging third class and passes.
Adeyewa stressed that conferment of honorary degree and the award of prestigious degree of Doctor of Management Science (D.Mgt. Honoris Causa) would be given to Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, for demonstrating exemplary leadership. Professor Adeyewa further stressed that corporate discipline and research excellence would continue to be the hallmark of the university.
