After Netflix’s acquisition of film, Genevieve inks deal with Hollywood talent agency

Nollywood star actress, Genevieve Nnaji, is definitely on a roll United Talent Agency (UTA) just added her to its roster weeks after she reached a deal with Netflix regarding her new film, LionHeart.
According to the terms of deal, UTA will now represent the Nigerian actress’ interests in film, TV and production globally. UTA, rated as one of the top talent agencies in Hollywood, is known for representing actors, directors, producers, recording artists, writers, and other entertainment professionals.
With the likes of Keke Palmer, James Franco, Dolly Parton, Lauryn Hill, Nicole Scherzinger as well as Nigeria’s Mr Eazi on the roster of UTA, whose services also include brand management, film financing and packaging, licensing, marketing, strategic management, and venture capital financing for companies, Genny is in good hands.
Netflix recently acquired the rights to ‘Lionheart’, Nnaji’s directorial debut film as the first original feature from Nigeria to debut on the streaming service. The movie, starring Nollywood veterans including Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie and Onyeka Onwenu and Genevieve Nnaji herself, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Written by Chinny Onwugbenu, Genevieve Nnaji, Ishaya Bako, Emil Garuba, and C.J. Obasi, the film was produced by The Entertainment Network.
