Sanwo-Olu assures Lagosians of an all-inclusive govt

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday assured Lagosians of running an inclusive government whereby residents would be carried along in his government policy implementation process. Speaking yesterday during an official Thank You visit to the Lagos East Senatorial District, held yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall of Centre for Management Development (CMD) in Magodo, Lagos, Sanwo- Olu said public policy is all about the well-being of the people, therefore, his policies and programmes would be people-oriented.

The APC governorship candidate also pointed out that there is need for all stakeholders and members of the party across the state to embrace themselves and work together as one united family despite the outcome of the party’s primaries, stating further that the party in Lagos is known as a winning team and that such winning spirit should be reinforced in 2019. He said: “We must work together as a team because APC in Lagos is known to be a winning team and we must ensure we bring back  the team spirit in us.

Let us work together as party men and women. It is important to reachout to all aspirants who lost out in the primaries. “We must beg all those that are aggrieved and make sure we all work together for success elections in 2019. “Our government will be a participatory government. We will carry everyone along in the running of the government. All views will be aggregated in our government.

The people will take full ownership of the running of the government. We will run an opendoor system. “We will want you to continue to mobilise elec-torate in all your environments. We need to reachout to the electorate by engaging in house to house, door to door campaign.

The people will be carried along in the implementation of our policies and programmes.” Also speaking at the event, a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and Third Republic member of the Senate, Senator Anthony Adefuye urged the APC governorship candidate to compensate the Lagos East with the position of Secretary to the State Government (SSG) slot when elected, saying it was the remaining tenure of the district he wants to complete.
