All is set for the first edition of the Study in Holland Fair Lagos, which has been scheduled to hold in June at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. The event, which is being organised by the Netherlands Alumni Association of Nigeria (NAAN), is expected to feature representatives of many academic institutions from Holland, who are billed to hold oneon- one interactions with participants across all levels of education. They have, therefore, urged Nigerians to take advantage of the maiden edition of the fair to explore the many opportunities it promises to offer.
The Fellowship Officer at the Dutch Embassy in Nigeria, Temitayo Akinbiyi said; “The main purpose of the is to create awareness of the Dutch educational system and all the possibilities within this system in Nigeria, recruit students from Nigeria into reputable educational institutions in the Netherlands and establish a lasting relationship between Nigerian students and educational institutions in the Netherlands”.
“This Study in Holland fair is targeted at prospective students with their parents/guardians, high school graduates, educational consultants/ recruitment agencies, government institutions, private organisations, among others.”
The coordinator of the Netherlands Alumni Association of Nigeria, Olusesan Olukoya, said alumni of various Dutch institutions will be on ground to share their success stories with prospective students and help them and introduce Netherlands scholarship opportunities, Internship and exchange programmes, projects and networking opportunities to intending individuals. He said invitations have been sent to members of the associations to turn up at the venue and plans are underway to make it a worthwhile experience.
