Ife mayhem: Aregbesola inaugurates commission of enquiry

Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola yesterday inaugurated a five-man judicial commission of enquiry into the disturbance of public peace in Ile-Ife with a charge that they should investigate and determine the remote and the imme-diate causes of the disturbance.

The governor also advised them to identify the perpetrators of the act and level of there involvement and determine the extent of injury suffered by any individual or group.

Members of the committee are Justice M.A Adeigbe, who doubles as the chairman, Mrs. Bose Dawodu DCP (rtd), Barrister Ismail Ajibade, the State Commissioner of Police, the State DSS Director and Mr. Bisi Babalola who will act as the secretary. Aregbesola, in a speech entitled “Justice for all, never again in the land of the virtuous (Ipinle Omoluabi), however gave members of the commission four weeks to carry out the assignment, while reiterating his administration’s commitment to promote communal peace in the state.
