Former governor of Plateau State and a Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, David Jang, yesterday came down hard on the administration of Governor Simon Lalong, berating it for failure to conduct the long-overdue local government election in the state.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which is afraid that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will win all the councils, had refused to conduct the election since 2015 when the same APC government dissolved the elected council officials and replace them with management committee.
The senator spoke yesterday in Bokkos Local Government Council during an empowerment programme for 300 youths and women in the area as well as the donation of hospital equipment to the Cottage Hospital, Bokkos and Mangu General Hospital.
The empowerment programmes was organised and funded by Hon. Solomon Maren, representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
