Udom rejuvenates Akwa Ibom through industrialisation

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, yesterday reiterated his commitment to bring development to the door step of every Akwa Ibom citizen through his industrialisation programme tailored towards empowering and harnessing potential of the indigenes both at home and abroad.

Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of the Akwa Ibom Community (AKISCOM) Plaza and Investiture of Patrons, which took place at the weekend in Lagos, Emmanuel, who donated N50 million towards the building of the state-of-theart ultra-modern civic centre, explained that his well-planned economic programmes would jump-start the economy of the state.

He said the state was poised for greater development during his tenure as the government had embarked on lifechanging programmes to rejuvenate the state’s economy through industrial activities across the 31 local government areas, stressing that the economic framework of the state was guided by the blueprint of his administration’s five-point agenda.
