Armed men believed to be kidnappers have abducted the Oluyani of Iyani, Oba Joel Daodu, in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State. The police in Ogun State have arrested a 37-year-old man, Ifeanyi Ajaero, for allegedly chaining his wife to a generating set. The suspect was said to have used a handcuff to chain Obiageli, 28, to the generator till day break after he seriously battered her. The incident, according to the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, happened at Ewooluwo Sagamu in Sagamu Local Government Area of the state. Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday insisted that the state government would enforce the state anti-kidnapping law to the letter, saying kidnappers will die if they kill anyone during the course of such criminal acts.
