FG, IsDB conclude talks on $98m ‘almajirai’ school project

The Federal Government and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) have wrapped up discussions for the implementation of a $98 million Bilingual Education Project designed to provide “almajirai”( qur’anic students) access to basic education and vocational skills in some States of the Federation, including Osun, Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara and Kano States. Other States in the scheme are Kaduna, Gombe, Borno and Adamawa. The Federation Account Allocation Committee ( FAAC) has approved for sharing to three tiers of government, the sum of N467.807 billion as allocation for the month of April. The Federal Government has announced new dates for re-opening of two major oil and gas installations in Nigeria-Bonga Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) and Forcados line.
