Ex-Delta commissioner, Onyibe, loses daughter

An 18-year-old second year Law undergraduate at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom (UK), Kikaose Ebiye Onyibe, died last Wednesday following an unsuccessful surgery to remove a ruptured appendix. Kikaose, fondly called Kika, the daughter of former Commissioner for Information in Delta State, Mr. Magnus Onyibe, died at Gold Cross Hospital on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. Journalist with Bayelsa’s Glory FM shot dead

Gunmen yesterday killed a journalist with the Bayelsa State-owned Glory FM 97.1, Mr. Famous Giobaro. Giobaro was shot dead in his residence on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Road, Kpasia in Yenagoa, the state capital. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Asinim Butswat, said the command was yet to get the full detail of Giobaro’s killings.
