IGP orders removal of ‘illegal’ roadblocks nationwide

   The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the dismantling of illegal revenue collection and other roadblocks across the country.  A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood, said to give effect to the directive, men of the X-Squad Unit will begin monitoring operations on Monday. Ogunleye to govt: Enforce National Building Code compliance

Nigeria loses 1.3m Internet connections in one month

Telecoms companies in Nigeria lost over 1.3 million Internet connections in the last one month, New Telegraph has gathered. The development is coming as the total number of mobile Internet connections on the networks crashed from 91,274,446 in January to 89,998,873 in February. The decline was recorded on the networks of MTN, Airtel and Etisalat while Globacom saw an increase in Internet subscriptions, as the country’s telecoms regulator – Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) – released its updated Internet Subscriber Data.
